DIRECTORS &
PRODUCERS

Ready to shoot but you have a script that’s not quite ready? I can help let you know everything you might need to do to finish it so you can get the story ready for production.

  • "Richard Gretsky has a way of finding the heart of a story with patience and precision. He’s incredibly thorough, always chasing the small details that make something feel true. What he delivered was a script with real weight—quietly powerful and fully formed.”

Brian Anderson, director East of Middle West and a western feature slated to film next year

  • “Richard has been one of the easiest people I’ve worked with. He is kind-hearted and highly intelligent. The way he crafts his scripts is on par with the best I’ve seen in the industry. And on top of that he is very generous with his time and understanding of what projects need.”

Canaan Sanders, producer of sci-fi feature Operation Dandelion

  • “I sent my screenplay to Richard, not expecting much back as I had already gotten coverage from others and done a polish. I was shocked when I received Richard’s coverage notes back, as they were extensive. As I dug into them, I found them to be extremely helpful and totally unique from any other notes I had gotten. Richard has a profound grasp on story, structure, character arcs, and all the technical nuance of screenwriting. The thing that separated him from everyone else I had gotten feedback from though, was the granularity of his notes. He left no stone unturned. It was evident that he had gone so much further and deeper into my screenplay than anyone else who had looked at it. I was truly shocked, in the most pleasant way. It became an education for me. I can honestly say with 100% confidence that I am a better writer today because of the notes I have received on my screenplays from Richard. For anyone looking to truly improve your script and your writing, there is no one better to go to than Richard Gretsky.”

    Benji Nolot, director Nefarious, Liberated

  • "As a person, Richard embodies a unique combination of analytic precision with emotional intelligence. This is clearly reflected in the notes he provides, which always cut to the heart of the matter: what is the emotional core of the story and how it is moving through the structural arc of the script."

    Dr. Taylor Knight, writer/director Gadfly

*– The main difference between this and the regular script analysis is time spent in the script. More time allows for more understanding and insight, as well as more time to refine the notes, so typically double the amount of time.
